FA20Club do good work from what I read. I'll go UEL when the time comes.
I just realized the other day that my TRD exhaust snorts between upshifts above 4k, kinda like on the F-Type, as pointed out by Top Gear.

Me or the company? I live in the good ol' USA

Nice! Any idea what kind of weight savings this gives over stock?

UEL is the only way to go. Either that or long tube ELs, as those are the two best options to make power. Plus dat sound! Makes a deep sound.
I am getting a Motiv front pipe and perrin catback, hopefully it should make some burbles. I have heard good things about the TRD exhaust, it possibly the best looking aftermarket exhaust out there as well.

Probably 5lbs at max, as the borla uels without a cat is 10lbs lighter.

Sounds great though! Now that there appear to be some good catted header options, I just many have to add it to my list of potential mods.

Mod list just keeps getting longer and longer. I should comply mine and then share it. . .

Yeah, mine as well. So for the inevitable big power mod, which method would you choose (turbocharging vs supercharging vs engine swap)?
I find myself leaning toward the HKS supercharger kit.

I am going NA power. Until I absolutely need more power. Apparently cosworth is working on engine mods for the FR-S. It will be more expensive but I think it will be more fun. Also have you looked into this ? Apparently it really give this car better acceleration, if top speed isn't a big deal.

The power is just fine for me and I don't really see myself doing any major mods in the foreseeable future. But for my track focused dream build, I'd love some supercharger whine on top the engine noise.
I can't wait to see what cosworth can come up with though.

I am trying to atleast get 250hp out of the engine, which isn't too bad. I think with an exhaust cams and a tune it should get their easily. I want more of a street car that is fast rather than a race car, as I rarely, if ever, go to the track. Mostly because there isn't one around me. I most autocross.

Ehh, it kind of takes away from the character of the FRS and it makes it look like a V8 poseur. Like all UELs do.
That said...

I kind of like it when small cars have a big sound track, like the AC Cobras. The kind of burble like a V8 but I think they have their own unique sound, much more interesting than the standard 4-banger.

That's the problem I have with UELs. I mean, we grew up thinking the noise from a V8 (I.e. Boss Mustang, 572 crate motor) was perfectly normal, but the noise from a UEL Impreza warrants a ticket.

I guess that is true, but really I think that goes for anything that is an import and cost less than 40K. I guess because we are in America, people like to think that way,but honestly I am not so sure.
As for the sound, I always like a car with a unique sound. Rotary, Inline 5s, basically anything really.
